The U.S. Colombian Medical Association is a not for profit Organization of physicians and dentists with license in the USA.

The Association promotes scientific, educational, cultural and charitable activities in Colombia and the USA. It also strengthens and stimulates fraternal and scientific ties among physicians and dentists in the USA, Colombian Medical Schools and related scientific groups.

Created in 1981 in Texas by Enrique Molano, MD. and Hugo Ramirez, MD. and incorporated in 1984 in Miami.

President: Marco Danon, M.D. (2008 – 2009)

The U.S.Colombian Medical Association has 8 regions and 19 regional directors throughout the USA.

The Central Office is located in Coral Gables, Florida.

The main objectives are accomplished by the followings Committees: National Scientific, Local Scientific, Publications, Membership, annual Congress, Goal Objectives and Bylaws and Auxiliary.

The next Annual Congress will be held in Bogota, July 28th – 31st 2010.

    I´m a member of the Medical Schol in Cuba called ELAM (Escuela Latino Americana de Medicina). I contact you looking for support on a project that we are part of called BES (Brigada Estudiantil de Salud). This project is part of an association among Colombian medical students in Cuba and volunteer doctors and other students to bring primary health care to the Colombian people. This year on e of the projects will be serving Sumapaz, that is located outside of Bogota’ the capitol of Colombia. The project will be starting the first week of August.
